Your Trainer

I’m Renae Elliott. I grew up in a small country town in South Australia and now I live on the beautiful Sunshine Coast. I’m the face behind Elliott's Personal Training.

I have traveled & worked in many different jobs. Personal Training & fitness has always been something that I’ve been passionate about. I have always wanted to work in a place where I can make a real difference. I believe that I can make a difference in your life through exercise and nutrition.

I am passionate about helping people make realistic long-term lifestyle changes that they will stick to & take with them forever. I don’t believe in crazy diets or short terms fixes. We all need to live & find a perfect balance in diet & exercise that suits our individual needs.

Elliott's Personal Training

I have been married for 10 years and have 2 children. Cooper who is 7 years old & Charlee who is 3 years old. I believe in leading by example so that my children will grow up with a healthy attitude to nutrition and exercise. Having my children gave me more drive to help mums and dads be the best they can be for their children. I’m very passionate about working with Mums during pregnancy and after - making sure that they get the correct advice so they can recover, become fitter, and be stronger to be able to keep up with their kids.

I love running group classes and outdoor sessions. I want to make sure people become stronger, more confident, and happy within themselves. Being fit is a lifestyle and I can help you live that lifestyle.

A few years ago I met a client who was in her mid 50’s. She had lost some weight on her own & was looking for extra exercise to improve not only her body but well-being. She had already been dragon boating socially. She had done exercise before but never stuck to something for a long term. She lacked energy & ate unhealthily throughout her days. Being in her 50s and watching her parents age and struggle with multiple health issues, she became motivated to make a change and improve herself because it is never too late.

Within a few months of joining Elliott’s Personal Training, you could see her fitness improving. Instead of struggling to finish she was easily completing activities and striving for more challenges. She had a stressful job, finding it difficult to switch up, and a knee injury that caused her mild pain. Most people at this point would given up and not pushed themselves further, not her. For months she still turned up to each session & we worked on the things that she could do. Still making her part of the group while not risking her health or being unsafe I tell you she has ABS OF STEEL NOW

With regular exercise, determination, support, and encouragement things started to improve. She found exercise as a stress reliever and the group support made her want to come to each session. From working to her ability & gaining strength in her legs and shoulders she can now do most activities better than she ever has before. She is now rehabilitated from her injuries and beats most of the younger people in the group. Other members say that she is their inspiration and they want to be like her. She is now confident, Happy , Strong & someone I truly admire. She is someone that constantly reminds me why I started in this industry and how I want to be able to inspire more people to be like her. She could be you…

I don't believe in being a drill sergeant or forcing anyone to do anything they don't want, instead, I prefer to be supportive, encourage and help people to be the best that they can be and get the most out of every session. I am a firm believer in everyone living their lives – I don't expect anyone to be perfect in their nutrition and exercise 24/7. We all want to have a good time and will have blowouts occasionally.

I’m here to teach you that is OK.

Being healthy is a lifestyle choice, not a short-term fix.

WHY DO I DO THIS?

What am I passionate about?

I have seen many trainers who just turn up to a session and do the same boring thing every session. I've watched them not care about their clients and probably not think about them again once they've trained. I've heard of people being turned off exercise because they feel judged, scared of what people think, afraid that people will laugh at them because they are overweight or not fit enough. It breaks my heart when I hear this.

Exercise should be enjoyable. We should laugh when we work out and have fun. We should do it all together so we can help each other. Especially in those days when we are feeling a bit flat.

I’m passionate about spreading this message- getting people to start exercising and enjoying it. I want to get more people motivated to lead a heathier lifestyle. I’m not about looking for a short term fix - its about educating people and helping you lead a healthy lifestyle for the rest of your life.
